Tipu Whanau and Room 2 – Celebrating New Moon by Making Dumplings

We had fun Celebrating the Chinese New Year by making yummy dumplings. It is a great way for the kids to spend time together. What makes dumplings special is that they are mixed by hand for some time to ensure the fat in the meat really entraps all the juices.

All the kids enjoyed them, and we made sure that kids who were Muslim or Vegetarian had good ole vegetables in theirs.

Thank you to Miss Dobson, Mrs Talivao and Miss Hopson for their culinary skills and organisation.

Hmm, wonder what we should celebrate next week…?
