I have been the Principal of Henderson South School since the beginning of 2009.  I was teaching in Tauranga, Tokoroa and at Ranui Primary in Auckland as a Senior Teacher then Deputy Principal prior to my current appointment as Principal

I have a strong interest in Literacy and Maths and I am passionate about raising the levels of achievement for children in these areas.  I also enjoy exposing children to all types of curriculum areas so that  these areas remain connected with their learning.  Sport has always played a huge part in my life and I like watching children gain enjoyment, confidence and skills from various sporting codes.  Henderson South School has a proud history of students that have achieved excellence in many areas and I am sure this pattern will continue to flourish.  I recognise and value the importance of the diversity of cultures which our children represent and celebrate and respect all that this encompasses.  The children at Henderson South will be given many opportunities to achieve and be best they possibly can.  Our school motto Caring, Sharing, Learning, will underpin the ethos of our school.
